You really put a lot of effort in this. Is there a way you can calibrate the chrony?

I had to because the way I see it, (sorry CED but we can't deny this) original set-up is piece of crap.
I hope there would be a way. I have tried to think about this but there is nothing practical, at least not yet. Let me know if you have ideas...
